Thirunakkara Pakal Pooram Celebrated

Thirunakkara Pakal Pooram had held on 23rd Monday at temple ground Kottayam. Though heavy rain made it difficult to begin the pooram, the climate itself gave way to begin the pooram. There was 22 caparisoned elephants participated (11 each at east end and west end).Mangalamkunnu Karnan held the 'Thidambu of Paramekavu" at east end while at west end Guruvayoor Valiya Kesavan held the "Thidambuof Thirunakkara ".The "Kuda Mattom" held during the pooram was so colorful. The "Pandimelam" by Mattanoor Sankarankutty Maraar and "Aalthara melam" by Peruvanam Kuttan Maraar made the people to a graceful mood. The pooram ends with colorful fire works.
